Mufti of the Republic, Sheikh Abdul Lateef Deryan (C)
Beirut - Arab Today

Mufti of the Republic, Sheikh Abdul Lateef Deryan, received at Dar al Fatwa on Friday a delegation from the Council of the Lebanese Press Syndicate headed by Aouny Kaaki.
Following the meeting, Kaaki told the press that the Mufti was a supporter of Arab unity and solidarity in the face of any emergency in the world. He noted that what was happening in Yemen was an odd situation that required Arab solidarity to rectify the country's path and save the Yemenites.
"Mufti of the Republic confirms that the security of the Arab state and the Arab national security is a red line, and we will not allow anyone to cross it, ignore it or toy with it under flimsy slogans," said Kaaki.
"[The Mufti] salutes the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and supports its brave decision which shows great genuine Arab and Islamic awareness."
The Mufti explained to Kaaki that the KSA exhausted all political means before resorting to a military solution in Yemen.
