Al-Azhar invulnerable wall against dark thoughts

Minister of Interior Magdy Abdel Ghaffar visited Al Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el Tayyeb at Al Azhar headquarters in Darrasa in Cairo on Monday.
The minister praised the role of Al Azhar in the fight against the wrong thoughts that seek to tarnish Islam's image, pointing out that Al Azhar will remain the beacon of Islam in Egypt and the world.
Minister Abdel Ghaffar described Al Azhar as an invulnerable wall against the dark thoughts which are adopted by extremist groups.
For his part, the Grand Imam said Al Azhar is standing firmly against the distorted and perverted thoughts and always seeks to renew religious discourse to face wrong ideas.
He expressed Al Azhar readiness to cooperate with the state institutions to spread the correct Islamic thoughts.
