Manama - Arabs Today

Five temporary abattoirs will operate under the supervision of accredited veterinaries to ensure compliance with health requirements.
The Department of Agriculture and Marine Resources arranged the slaughterhouses to meet the growing demand during the Eid Al-Adha, which falls on Friday (September 1).
A team comprising 20 doctors and 12 veterinaries has been set as part of Eid preparations to supervise the temporary abattoirs, which are located near the permanent slaughterhouse in Al-Hamala.
The Department of Agriculture and Marine Resources urged compliance with the veterinaries’ supervision to avert any outbreak of diseases and ensure consumers’ safety.
The Al-Hamala abattoir will also be operating on Eid Al-Adha, in addition to two slaughterhouses run by Al-Reem Company and two mobile ones in Muharraq and Riffa.
The department urged on citizens and residents to report to the accredited abattoirs, warning against the random polluted slaughterhouses which endanger public health and the environment.
