Zelda Kaplan dies during NYF week

Zelda Kaplan last picture   New York- Arabstoday The Fashion Week crowd was stunned when 95-year-old Zelda Kaplan died during Joanna Mastroianni runway show. Zelda Kaplan,a beloved socialite, fashion icon and humanitarian, passed away while sitting front row at Mastroianni’s show at Lincoln Center. Witnesses saw Kaplan “slump forward” in her seat after the models had started walking down the runway. Security rushed to her side, picked her up, carried her over the runway and out of the sweltering tent as models continued to sashay down the catwalk. Doctors at the scene tried to resuscitate the stricken club doyenne without success. She was taken to Roosevelt Hospital, where she died. Moments earlier, she had caught the eye of photographers with her scarlet print skirt suit, matching hat and black heels.
