Actress Meryl Streep Beirut - Arabstoday   Actress Meryl Streep wears Salvatore Ferragamo shoes and handbags in the upcoming film “THE IRON LADY” directed by Phyllida Lloyd. “THE IRON LADY” looks at the rise and fall of trailblazing politician Margaret Thatcher through the lens of her own latter-day life.  A reckoning with the past as she sees it, the film imagines how the longest-serving Prime Minister of the UK, and the first woman ever to be elected as head of government in the West, reconciles her  groundbreaking history with the costs of power.  Two-time Academy Award winning actress Meryl Streep brings Margaret Thatcher to life over a 40-year span, delivering a performance of spellbinding power. She looks a vivid image of Thatcher. The world premiere of the film was held on Tuesday, December 13th at Ziegfeld Theatre in NY in which Ferragamo was one of the main sponsors of the night.
