
Nigerian police in the northeast state of Gombe said Wednesday that unknown gunmen killed two and injured one in Ceceniya quarters area of the state. Fwaje Atajiri, police spokesperson for the state, told reporters in Gombe city that the attack took place on Tuesday at about 11:45 pm local time. Atajiri said a group of criminals armed with weapons attacked the victims. He described the incident as unfortunate, calling on the public to always report suspicious movements. The spokesman promised a handsome reward for anyone that could feed the police with information about the criminals. Atajiri said no arrest had been made so far.
