Danish FM resigns, cites poor health

Danish Foreign Minister Villy Sovndal resigned Wednesday from the cabinet and parliament, citing health reasons. "I have been advised that I cannot continue at the same pace as previously, and have taken the consequences," Sovndal said. According to dpa, the 61-year-old has been on sick leave since October, when he underwent surgery to remove a blood clot in the heart.
