A Chinese teenager who died at the scene of a San Francisco jetliner crash was dead before she was run over by emergency vehicles, fire officials said. Ye Meng Yuan, 16, was one of three people who died in the July 6 accident, in which an Asiana Airlines plane made a crash landing after hitting a sea wall. Ye was run over twice by fire trucks, and San Mateo County Coroner Robert J. Foucrault initially ruled the girl was alive when she was run hit by the vehicles. A report by the San Francisco International Airport and fire officials disputes the coroner's conclusion, saying the girl was dead before she was run over, the Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday. "While there has been some speculation that Ms. Ye was alive at the time of the rollovers, suggesting that first responders mishandled the situation, ample evidence refutes this," the report states. The report said Ye died from trauma after being ejected from the plane during the crash landing. She wasn't wearing a seat belt at the time.
