
An Afghan child was killed and two others were inured following a suicide attack in southern Kandahar province of Afghanistan on Friday. According to local government officials, the incident took place on Friday afternoon in Daman district of Kandahar province after a suicide bomber targeted a convoy of the US forces, Afghan Kaama newspaper reported. Provincial governor spokesman, Javid Faisal confirming the report said a suicide bomber targeted a dismounted ISAF patrol in Daman district around 2:30 pm local time. Mr. Faisal further added that a child was killed and two others were injured in the attack. He said Afghan and coalition security forces did not suffer any casualties. In the meantime, unconfirmed reports suggest that two American troops were also injured in the attack. No group including the Taliban militants has so far claimed responsibility for the incident.
