
Six people were killed in a fire in Qingyuan City, south China's Guangdong Province on Sunday, local authorities said on Monday. The fire broke out in a three-storey residential building in Shitan Town, Qingxin District under Qingyuan at 4 a.m. Sunday. The fire was put out at around 5:45 a.m., acording to the Fire Corps of Guangdong Province. The victims were from one family. Only one person of the family who was sleeping in his truck escaped the disaster. One person died at the scene. Five others died in hospital. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
