The shooting happened Wednesday at about 10 p.m., the (Newark) Star-Ledger reported. Newark Police Director Samuel DeMaio said a 13-year-old girl and 14-year-old boy were pronounced dead at University Hospital in Newark. A third juvenile victim, whose age was not reported, is in critical, but stable, condition, DeMaio said. Police said the teens were not the intended targets of the shooting.
