A train collided with a minibus taxi in South Africa, killing at least two people and injuring 18 others, police said on Monday. The minibus lost its control as it was running on the road in the southeastern province of KuaZulu-Natal on Sunday night, landing on the railway track after plunging down an embankment. A train was approaching as the taxi crashed onto the track. Among the injured, two remain in a critical condition in hospital. The cause of the accident is being investigated. This is the latest vehicle-train collision in South Africa. On March 15, 2012, a minibus taxi and a freight train collided in Johannesburg, leaving five schoolchildren injured.
