
At least two students were injured after a shooting at a middle school in the U.S. state of New Mexico Tuesday morning, local media reported. Two students are being treated for injuries at the Eastern New Mexico Medical Center in Rosewell city in southeast New Mexico, local media KOB quoted a hospital spokesperson as saying. The spokesperson confirmed the students were injured during the shooting at Berrendo Middle School in Roswel. The spokesperson, however, did not elaborate on the conditions of the injured. The school remained on lockdown and students are being bused to a nearby shopping mall for pickup, according to the report. New Mexico State Police officials said local authorities were dispatched to the school just after 8 a.m. (1500 GMT) on reports of the shooting. According to the Roswell Police Department Facebook page, the suspected shooter has been apprehended. It's still not clear when and how exactly the shooting happened.
