One gunman and another person were killed in a shooting at a medical center in Reno, Nevada, Tuesday afternoon, said Tom Robinson, deputy chief of the Reno Police Department. Two other people were injured and receiving medical treatment at a hospital. One of them is a female doctor. Police initially said the gunman shot four people before killing himself, but they later said he wounded two people and killed another one before turning the gun on himself. The shooter went to the neurology office of Nevada Advanced Medicine Center at the Renown Regional Medical Center on the third floor and opened fire, said Sharon Spangler, spokeswoman for Reno Police. Robinson said the police had the first report of shooting at 2:05 p.m., and the shooter died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound after injuring three other people. "We can confirm that there was a shooting in a professional office building located on the northeast corner of the Renown Regional Medical Center campus. The police have secured the campus, and we are cooperating fully with the investigation," the Renown Regional Medical Center said in a statement posted on its website. The medical center has now returned to normal business operations, the statement added.
