11 killed in Indonesia landslides

Torrential rains triggered floods and landslides that killed at least 11 people in Indonesia's Eastern province of Papua. Two people are still missing after the landslides hit three locations in the provincial capital of Jayapura, according to Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, spokesman for the National Disaster Mitigation Agency, AFP reported. More than 50 houses have been damaged in the landslides and flooding due to incessant rains that began Saturday night. Rains caused three rivers in the city to overflow.
