10 killed, 100 injured in resort roof collapse

Ten people were killed and more than 100 were injured after the roof of a hotel gymnasium packed with students collapsed in the southern city of Gyeongju, according to government and police officials Tuesday. The auditorium at a mountain resort collapsed around 9:06 p.m. Monday under the weight of snow while 565 incoming freshmen from Busan University of Foreign Studies were gathered inside for a welcoming party as part of a freshman orientation at the Manua Ocean Resort in Gyeongju, 370 kilometers southeast of Seoul.
