Jerusalem - XINHUA

One woman was killed and 22 people, mainly children, were injured in a collision between a private car and a bus near the Dead Sea Tuesday, a spokesperson for Israel's Magen David Adom Emergency Services told Xinhua. The accident took place on Tuesday, on route 90 near Kibbutz Ein Gedi, located on the western shore of the Dead Sea, at the edge of the Judean Desert. According to Zaki Heler, spokesperson for Magen David Adom, the two vehicles collided for an unknown reason. The 22 people injured have been treated at the spot by paramedics and some will be later evacuated to hospitals in Jerusalem. The 30-year-old woman who drove the car was pronounced dead at the scene. Israeli Police forces and representatives from the Transportation Ministry have launched an investigation into the accident.
