Coach of Egypt's youth national team Motamed Gamal
Cairo - Arab Today

Coach of Egypt's youth national team Motamed Gamal said that his team will participate in the coming Africa Cup of Nations for youth depending on the individual efforts. He blamed the increasing crises with the clubs of the Egyptian league and the lack of friendly matches provided to the team.

He expressed frustration, during an interview with "Arabs Today", over the lack of friendly matches supposed to be performed during January and February. He stressed the difficulty of his group during the qualifying round of the tournament, describing it as the group of death.

He added that it has Mali, which gained the third position of world cup last year and Zambia which is the hosting country. He promised to exert his efforts to qualify for the semi final and to participate in the World Cup scheduled to be held in South Korea in May.

He praised his players saying that they will have great future in the Egyptian football whether with the national team or their clubs. He added that he met with a number of players who received offers to transfer to European teams, calling them for not thinking in such offers during the current period and to delay them until the end of the African cup.
