Rabat - Mohamed Khaled

Moroccan footballer Al Mahdy Bin Attiya expressed his confidence that his national team will qualify for the World Cup scheduled to be held i Russia 2018, as it has a distinguished group of young players.

However, he stressed the difficulty of this job due to the consecutive draws during the first two matches in the qualifying round leading the Moroccan national team to rank the second in his group after the Ivory Coast. He
stressed that they have a good team so we should reach to the World Cup.

He praised the Moroccan participation in Africa Cup of Nations recently held in Gabon, saying that the team did not deserve to be defeated by the Egyptian national team. He added, "We benefited a lot from this experience. We were the better party during the
match against Egypt, while we failed to seize the opportunities."

The Moroccan player apologized for the Moroccan fans, saying that they were aspiring to achieve better results. He stressed that they managed to achieve good results during the tournament despite the expectations, expressing his satisfaction over the performance of the team,
