Israel closes al-Aqsa in unprecedented step

Israeli authorities closed the entrances of Al-Aqsa Mosque, preventing worshippers from performing their rituals in an unprecedented step since Jerusalem was occupied in 1967.
In a press statement, Palestinian Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs Sheikh Yousef Adeis said that this was an Israeli conspiracy against the Holy Islamic shrine.
He said that the Israeli step is a continuation of "the unlawful crimes committed by the occupying forces against the Palestinians."
