4 people killed in cross border attacks in Pakistan

A group of Afghan militants stormed the house of a local anti-Taliban militia chief in Upper Dir district of Northern Pakistan, killing him and three members of his family, said officials on Saturday.
"Militants from Afghanistan stormed the house of Nazmeen Khan, chief of a local anti-Taliban militia and killed him along with his two sons and a nephew," Gul Faizi, a local police official, told media, adding that two other family members were wounded, including a woman who was in critical condition.
Confirming the incident, senior police official Javaid Aziz stated to media that Afghan militants attacked the house as army later retaliated and killed two militants, noting that a search operation went underway for the attackers.
Pakistan had condemned several times in the past cross border militants' attack targeting military installation s and personnel.
The attack came at a time when a major military offensive in northern tribal region of Pakistan bordering Afghanistan was underway, killing over 500 militants and 27 soldiers so far.
