Ministry to lead campaign against smoking

Minister of Social Solidarity Ghada Wali would reveal on Thursday the results of a national survey on the problem of drug abuse.
The survey, conducted by the national fund for fighting and treating addiction, includes rates of drug addicts, reasons of addiction, developments of the problem and those most vulnerable to addiction.
Ghada Wali told reporters on Wednesday that the Ministry would lead a campaign through the national fund for fighting and treating addiction to protect young people against smoking and drug abuse.
The ministries concerned, public figures, owners of private TV channels, media persons, artists and sportsmen would participate in the campaign, she said.
