
President Abdu-Rabbu Mansour Hadi chaired on Sunday a meeting of the Supreme Security and Military Committee, where he reviewed the security situation in the capital Sana'a and Amran province in the light of the latest developments and security challenges imposed by Houthi armed group.
Hadi urged security and army forces to raise alert level status in the country to face any threat could be imposed. He said that the state is keen to preserve public tranquility and concern of lives of Yemenis.
"Today, the capital Sana'a is the home of 2.7 million people from all over the country and it is not the 1960s' Sana'a. Sana'a today is the capital of 25 million from all Yemen's provinces,'' Hadi said.
Hadi pointed out that there are probably hidden and suspicious agendas behind the banners and slogans raised by Houthi group which aim to manipulate the people's emotions, saying all actions inconsistent with the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference (NDC) are a blatant challenge to the national consensus.
The President said that all Islamic doctrines have been coexisting in Yemen for hundreds of years and there is no incongruity or differentiation between them, noting that
The entire Yemeni people has been stood as one group with the revolution, the republic system and the national unity and also stood together in times of crisis Yemen has experienced for a long time.
