The cabinet approved during its weekly meeting on Wednesday under Prime Minister Sherif Ismail a draft law on establishing a syndicate for farmers and agricultural producers.

In a press conference held at the cabinet's headquarters after the weekly meeting, the agriculture and land reclamation minister said that the premier conveyed the greetings of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on the occasion of the new hijri year to the attendees.

The get-together tackled the bill of the syndicate for farmers and agricultural producers, the minister noted.

Ismail ordered forming a committee from the ministries of finance, justice, agriculture and manpower to outline regulations of the bill and conditions of the membership of the syndicate, the minister reiterated.

The committee will also discuss the advantages to be gained by farmers under the umbrella of this legislation, the minister underlined, noting that it the bill will be probed by the cabinet once more after two weeks.

He further stressed the importance of the draft law for the farmers so as to hone their skills in the agricultural field.
