
A regional counter-terror conference started yesterday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in attendance of foreign ministers of the GCC member states, Egypt, Iraq, Turkey, Jordan and Lebanon as well as US Secretary of State John Kerry.
Chaired by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal, the meeting will discuss the issue of terrorism in the region, extremist organisations and their ideology, and ways of combating them.
Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, represented the U.A.E. in the gathering.
