Tunisian government suspends Militant-linked societies

The Tunisian government's crisis committee, tasked with monitoring security situation in the country, decided Sunday to immediately suspend societies with links to terrorism as well as boosting army's ground capabilities in the fight against terrorism.
The committee met today and was chaired by Prime Minister Mahdi Jumaa. It decided to create a team to scrutinize domestic and international funding of these societies and their possible link with terrorism, a government statement said.
It also decided to call 3,750 reservists to step up the fight against terrorists nationwide.
The crisis committee will also take legal action against people charged with inciting discord.
Meanwhile, the Tunisian government said it would close unlicensed radio stations, Al-Noor and Al-Insan, because they were calling for violence and terrorism.
The crisis committee was formed after a recent terrorist attack that killed 15 soldiers and injured 23 others.
