
Sudan pledged to release next week Egyptian students detained here over charges of collective cheating in the secondary stage exams, Egyptian Immigration Minister Nabila Makram said.
Makram made the remarks during a meeting with parents of the detained students.
Egyptian Ambassador in Khartoum Osama Shaltout and Egyptian Consul We'am Soweilam attended the meeting.
While here, Makram had three-day intensive talks with Sudanese officials to secure the release of the Egyptian students.
Makram said she will return to Sudan next week to follow up freeing the students.
