
Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met Thursday with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Chief of the Political Bureau of Hamas Khaled Mashaal and discussed with them political developments in the Palestinian territories.
The three men addressed current events taking place in the Gaza Strip in light of ongoing Israeli airstrikes on the Strip, according to Qatar News Agency (QNA).
The two sides also discussed required efforts to stop all forms of Israeli hostility on Palestinian lands, stressing the importance to meet Palestinian people's demands in establishing an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
