
The attorney general of north Qalubiya prosecutions decided on Sunday to keep in custody Hafez Amin, aka Doksh, a jobless criminal, for four days pending investigations on violence charges.
Amin, 29, is charged with opening fire at policemen in Khanka area killing captain Ihab Georgy of Khanka police station and three plain-clothes.
Days ago, security forces arrested the dangerous criminal in Qalubiya governorate with a stock of weapons in his possession.
The arrest came during a wide-scale security campaign that aimed to arrest gangs in Qalubiya especially those accused of killing policemen.
He is also accused of resisting authorities, drug dealing and stealing lands from citizens.
A probe was launched into the incident.
