The House of Representatives approved on Sunday a bill to amend some provisions of the law no. 394 of 1954 regarding fire arms and ammunition.
MP Yehia el-Kedwani, the rapporteur of the defense and national security committee, said the planned increase in the new bill is meant to meet the high exchange rate, adding that it will be incurred only by those seeking to get or trade in weapons.
The new bill includes amendments to articles no. 33 and 34, and introduces a new article to the law.
