Pakistan had apprised the United States about its serious concerns which need to be addressed for moving forward. Expressing concerns of Pakistan in a private news channel program, the Spokesperson to Foreign Office (FO), Dr Muhammad Faisal said that there was need to find common ground in diplomacy, for resolving the issues and moving forward, he said.
Pakistan and United States are two different countries, situated in different locations, he said.
Both the countries hold different strategic or national interest, he added.
Giving recent example of terrorist activity in Quetta, he said that Pakistan was facing serious problems from the elements attacking from the soil of Afghanistan.
Cultivation of opium in a big quantity in Afghanistan was also concerns of Pakistan, he added.
The spokesperson said Pakistan had apprised the US to help resolve the matter of Afghan refugees from Pakistan.
“We want to move forward with US but our concerns should be addressed, ” he said.
Pakistan and United States wanted to achieve the targets for peace in Afghanistan, he said adding for this, common grounds would be required to move ahead.
