Palestinian government officials postpone visit to Gaza

The national unity government here announced Friday the postponement of the Prime Minister Rami Al-Hamdallah's visit, along with a number of ministers, to Gaza tomorrow, on the backdrop of the explosions there.
Describing the explosions as "a serious incident" a government press statement said it would not be thwarted in its efforts to serve the interest of the Palestinian cause.
In a similar sentiment, The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) said in a press statement as well that the "criminal" explosions meant to tear asunder Palestinian unity.
Meanwhile in Gaza, the ministry of interior and national security issued a statement today saying it had formed a committee to investigate the explosions which took place in the early hours of the day. In fact, it said the committee visited the area of the explosions and would do its best to disallow a recurrence of such incidents.
Up to fifteen residences of Fatah officials in the Gaza Strip where targeted by the explosions earlier this morning.
