Palestinian Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs Yosif Ade'eis called on the Arab specialists to protect the Palestinian heritage and monuments that are intentionally exposed to systematic destruction by the Israeli occupation forces over the past years.
Those remarks were made at the first Arab-African Museums Conference held by the Ministry of Antiquities at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Cairo.
The four-day event deals with activating the role played by museums as cultural and educational institutions seeking to preserve heritage of societies.
It also tackles the museums' role in human, economic development, finding means of dialogue worldwide and spreading peace through mutual human values.
