Palestinian Aambassador to Egypt Jamal al-Shobaki warned on Thursday from the repercussions of Israeli violations against al-Aqsa Mosque and al-Quds city.
In a press release, he asserted that the continuous Israeli violations against Islamic and Christian sanctity places in al-Quds city will drag the region to a religious war.
The Palestinian leadership decided to address the United Nations Security Council and condemn Israeli escalation in al-Aqsa Mosque, the ambassador further said.
He deplored Israel violations that aim to destroy all opportunities to reach peace between the two sides and also boost extremism in the region, referring to the latest Israeli decision which approved the establishment of 278 new settlements in al-Quds (East Jerusalem).
Meanwhile, he underlined the importance of a unified Arab and Islamic stance to confront Israeli aggression on Palestine and al-Quds city.
