A wastewater draft law was discussed by the Food and Water Security Committee of the Majlis Al Shura on Tuesday.
The Committee held its 7th regular meeting of the 2nd annual sitting (2016-2017) of the 8th term under the chair of Hilal bin Said Al Yahya’ee, Head of the Committee.
The Committee discussed the draft law on the Regulation of Wastewater Treatment and Reuse. The Committee decided to refer the same draft law to the next annual sitting with the aim of hosting several competent authorities and carefully studying the topic. The Committee approved the evaluation report for the two sessions of the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries who delivered a statement to the Majlis during the 15th and 16th regular sessions of the second annual sitting (2016-2017) of the 8th term (2015-2019). The Committee decided to refer the report to the Majlis A’Shura Office.
