Lebanon's Telecommunications Minister Boutros Harb praised measures taken by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to confront extremism in the Arab region.
"This is also what we are trying to do", the minister said in statements after his meeting with Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry in Cairo on Tuesday.
"We discussed about all regional developments and challenges facing by our people which require us to unify our efforts to cope with what is going on in the Arab world as a result of the current extremism wave", he added.
We have emphasized the importance of the Egyptian role in the Arab world because the absence of this role is causing an imbalance that is reflected negatively on Lebanon, the minister said.
