The Holy Month of Ramadan is coinciding this year with the summer solstice or the longest day of the year with 14 hours and two minutes of daytime, Kuwaiti Civil Aviation meteorologist Essa Ramadan said on Sunday.
In an interview with Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the Kuwaiti meteorologist said that the daytime average of the fasting month will be at around 14 hours.
Temperature will soar, partly due to the solstice phenomena, he said, adding that the heat will be felt especially during the noon time.
Temperatures will gradually lower by September, the official noted.
