Iraqi Interior Minister Salem al-Ghabban held a meeting Wednesday with security officials to discuss security conditions in the country hours after terrorist bombings in the Capital Baghdad.
During the meeting, the minister called on the security leaderships to exert more efforts to implement security plans and secure the country.
A statement issued by the ministry stressed the importance of using intelligence system and tight security measures to face terror threats.
Tuesday witnessed a wave of explosions in the Iraqi capital killing at least 70 people, the latest in a surge of urban violence that has the government, beset by political crises, looking increasingly paralyzed.
