Information Minister Melhem Riachi said on Sunday that the resignation of Prime Minister Saad Hariri has spared the ministers of the Lebanese Forces from announcing their resignation.

In an interview to "MTV" Channel Station, Riachi said there was no rift between Prime Minister Saad Hariri and Saudi Arabia, noting instead that there seemed to be an agreement between both sides.

He also ruled out any existing problem between PM Hariri and Lebanese Forces Chief Samir Geagea.

Riachi said his Party is committed to the relationship with Saudi Arabia and to protecting more than 200,000 Lebanese residents in the Kingdom.

He also reiterated the position of the Lebanese Forces in its opposition to Hezbollah's weapons, its fight in Syria and compromise deals within the State.

Touching on the Lebanese Television's dossier, the Information Minister confirmed agreement with President Michel Aoun "to appoint Toufic Traboulsi as Director-General of Tele-Liban," adding however, that "we are not in agreement to replace National News Agency Director Laure Sleiman."

Riachi asserted that his Party adopts a "zero problem policy with everyone, but we are against the weapons of Hezbollah outside the State and against the deals within the State."

He moved on to stress that "the real Editors Syndicate is one that protects the rights of journalists," adding, "I invite media professionals to support me on this subject
