
Deputy Minister for National Defence, Chief of Staff of the People's National Army, Lieutenant General Ahmed Gaid Salah, chaired Saturday evening at the army club in Beni-Messous (Algiers) a ceremony in honour of army senior executives, either working or retired.
Held under the patronage of President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, Supreme commander of the Armed Forces, minister of National defence, as part of the 60th anniversary of the outbreak of November Revolution, the ceremony was marked by the presence of chairman of the National people's assembly, Mohamed Larbi Ould Khelifa, chairman of the Constitutional council, Mourad Medelci, members of the government as well was national figures and mujahideen.
The national hymn was played at the ceremony, held part of the long tradition of the People's national Army meant to present the different stages of the national history.
An exhibition of photos tracing the successive stages of the Algerian Revolution took place on this occasion, in addition to a fireworks display.
