Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry discussed Monday with his Saudi counterpart Saud Al-Faisal several issues of common interest and challenges facing the Arab world in the current stage, especially terrorism and ways to confront it, Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab Affairs Nasser Kamel said.
After the meeting, Kamel told journalists several important files were also discussed, including the Palestinian and Libyan problems.
"We have a strategic partnership with the Saudi kingdom enabling us to act together to face up to challenges facing the Arab world," he said.
Daash has shown how ugly and despicable terrorism can be, he said. Egypt has been mounting a war against terrorism, Libya is doing the same thing, and so do other Arab countries who are also facing this same menace, he added.
Egypt has long been calling for devising a unified Arab strategy to confront terrorism, he said, noting that it is about time for all Arab countries to work together to see that this is done.
