An Egyptian delegation, led by Assistant Foreign Minister for African Affairs Mohamed Idris, arrived in Mogadishu on a several days' visit.
The delegation includes Egyptian Ambassador to Somalia Walid Ismail and representatives for the ministries of trade, education, health, agriculture and defense, as well as for a number of authorities.
Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud received the delegation members and lauded the deeply-rooted relations between the two countries, Idris said in a statement on Wednesday.
The visit aims to boost bilateral relations in all fields and to visit a number of Somali cities, he added.
