
Social Solidarity Minister Ghada Wali on Saturday ordered EGP 10,000 to be paid in compensation to families of each of the eight persons who were killed in Aswan accident late on Friday.
Each of the eight injured will also receive EGP 2,000.
Eight people were killed and eight others injured when a truck was hit by a train in the Upper Egyptian governorate of Aswan.
Five of the wounded are in critical condition, while the three others suffered medium injuries.
