Rights lawyer Malek Adly and two others were remanded in custody for another 15 days over charges including inciting anti-government protests.
A judge at Shubra el Khaima court set July 18 as a date to decide whether or not the detention of Adly and the two others will be renewed.
Earlier, the Public Prosecution charged Adly of attempting to topple the regime, amending the constitution of the state, joining an entity that works against the government and spreading false news.
