At least 50 leading members of Syria's Islamist insurgent group Ahrar al-Sham were killed in an explosion in Idlib, northwest Syria, on Tuesday, Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said.
The blast hit as leaders of the group gathered at a house in Ram Hamdan area in the rural outskirts of Idlib.
Ahrar al-Sham is a hard-line Islamist group and part of the Islamic Front alliance that has been fighting the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
