The First Vice - President of the Republic, Lt. Gen. Bakri Hassan Salih, received in his office Wednesday at the Republican Palace the Wali (governor) of South Darfur State, Maj. Gen. Adam Mahmoud Jaral-Nabie, and informed on the general situation in the state and the state's plan for the coming stage in the development and services.
In a press statement after the meeting, the Wali said that the state surpassing a turning point in the security field which is key factor for realizing development in the state.
He affirmed that the application of laws pertinent to the state of emergency has contributed to enhancement of the security situation and combating crimes by 80%, a matter that enabled the displaced people to get engaged in cultivation.
