Bahraini interior ministry to establish equal opportunities unit

In line with HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's directives on activating the national model for the integration of women's needs, in the context of equal opportunities, Minister of Interior, Lt- Gen Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, , has an edict to form equal opportunities unit at the Interior Ministry, to be chaired by Interior Assistant Undersecretary for Human Resources.
The Ministerial edict defined the unit's responsibilities represented in developing controls, standards and plans related to the application of the principles of equal opportunities and the integration of women's needs at the Interior Ministry and affiliated bodies. The edict also directed to establish cooperation and coordination with the Supreme Council for Women.
