Council of Representatives First Deputy Speaker MP Ali Al-Aradi stressed the importance of supporting parliamentary diplomacy to advocate Arab causes and unify visions and stances concerning challenges which impede sustainable development.

MP Al-Aradi made the statement as he attended a session of talks with Iraqi Parliament Speaker Dr. Salim Al Jaburi on the sidelines of his official visit to Baghdad.

He conveyed greetings from Council of Representatives Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla, stressing keenness on strengthening bilateral relations binding the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Iraq, in light of current challenges facing the Arab and Islamic nations which require more cooperation.

Legislative and Legal Committee Chairman Majid Al-Majid stressed Bahrain’s unwavering stances in support of Iraq’s territorial integrity.

He commended the efforts of the Iraqi leadership to strengthen national security, stability and unity and maintain people’s cohesion.

He underlined Bahrain’s firm belief that Iraq would overcome all challenges and bolster its outstanding relations with relations.

Dr. Al-Jabouri stressed his country’s to Bahrain in its efforts to combat the scourge of terrorism and stave off external interference in its internal affairs.
