Azhar keen on unity of Yemeni people

Al Azhar is keen on the unity of the Yemeni people, affirmed Al Azhar Grand Imam Dr Ahmed el Tayyeb.
Al Azhar spares no effort in supporting the Yemeni people, he added. He, meanwhile, said that Al Azhar stands fully ready to provide more educational support to Yemen.
Tayyeb's remarks were made during his meeting Wednesday with Yemen's delegate to the Arab League Riyadh al Akbari.
Akbari, for his part, appreciated efforts exerted by Al Azhar in spreading the moderate teachings of Islam and entrenching the principles of peace and coexistence among the various world countries.
He also said that Al Azhar's role is crucial in renewing religious discourse and confronting extremist thought.
