 Various smuggling attempts of cigarettes and psychotropic substances were foiled by Customs, officials announced.

The Customs of Hafeet land border managed to foil the smuggling of 10,200 boxes of illegal cigarettes, which were hidden under a refrigerator for fish. 

Customs of Wadi Al Jizi border also foiled a cigarette smuggling attempt, where the boxes were hidden in a secret box under the hood of a car.

The Customs of Al Mazyouna land border managed to foil an attempt to smuggle 10 bags of Khat, which were hidden in the cavities of the doors and seats of a vehicle.

On the other hand, the Customs of Khitmat Malaha foiled a cigarettes smuggling attempt, which were hidden in a box which was prepared for smuggling purposes.
